Emory reaffirms support for DACA students (Sept. 6, 2017)

Sterk is one of the 57 university presidents and chancellors who sent a letter today urging Congress to act immediately so that participants in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program may remain in the United States without fear of deportation. The Supreme Court’s ruling today allows DACA program to continue.

Emory continues to reaffirm its support for DACA students and staff who are valued members of our community. They have overcome barriers with resilience and courage.

Emory will continue its efforts to encourage Congress to pass bipartisan legislation to protect dreamers. We remain committed in our resolve and support for all members of our university. Emory stands with DACA students.
