Belonging and Community Justice (BCJ) is currently accepting applications for the 2024-2025 Signature Event Fund for fall 2024 and spring 2025 events!

BCJ, with the support of Campus Life, created the Signature Event Fund to assist active and recognized student organizations in ensuring the success of their signature events.

The purpose of the fund is to support student-led programs that promote intercultural engagement, cultural celebrations, and a sense of belonging (e.g., cultural practices, celebrations, and religious/spiritual events) as well as support student-led initiatives that enhance Emory students' understanding of global cultures and diverse identities. 

About the Signature Event Fund

BCJ will consider all applications for funding of active and recognized student organizations signature events that submit an application, align with the purpose of the fund, and meet the criteria. Please note, funding is limited and not all organizations who apply may receive funding.

Student organizations may submit one application each academic year. If granted funds, each active and recognized student organization must meet the fund expectations and usage or they will be at risk of not qualifying for future funding. 

Criteria To Apply

• Must be an Emory active and recognized student organization at the Atlanta campus in good standing.
• The event must be taking place during the 2024-2025 academic year.
• The student-led event must promote intercultural engagement, cultural celebrations, and a sense of belonging for Emory students and/or enhance Emory students' understanding of global cultures and diverse identities.
• The event must have been held for the past five consecutive years with at least 150 Emory community members in attendance. The majority of the audience must have been Emory undergraduate, graduate, or professional students. Exceptions to the five-year requirement are allowed if the event was canceled due to COVID-19 between March 2019 and December 2021.

Applications are due Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
